Five questions. Make them count.

Play instantly as a guest, or sign in to keep your progress across devices. Play a friend match or PLAY SOLO. Friend matches need a shared invitation and two ready players. Solo uses your remaining unseen questions. You have 20 seconds per question. A correct first answer earns one point. After each distinct wrong choice, you may try another answer within the same 20-second timer; the next correct answer is worth half as much: 0.5, 0.25, then 0.125 points. A timeout earns zero. Once a question is shown to you, that scoring chance is used whether you answer, time out, disconnect or leave.

Questions never return for more points. If fewer than five unseen questions remain, you may play one shorter final ranked session whose length is shown before it starts. If none remain, ranked play waits until new reviewed questions are added.

The monthly top 20

Every unseen question can score once. Playing the same friend again still counts if the questions are new. Highest total points wins. Through September 2026, completed-match points count and ties go to the earliest final score. From October, points count as questions are answered; ties go to higher accuracy, then whoever reached that score first, then the stable account ID. Match wins stay on the board as a statistic; they do not decide rank.

Months run from midnight on the first day to midnight on the first day of the next month, in UTC. Through September, a match belongs to the month it finishes. From October, each answer counts in the month it is submitted; unanswered questions count against accuracy in the month they were shown. A player needs at least one correct answer to earn a monthly award.

A whole month of the last word

Before the first monthly champion is crowned, the current leader with a positive score holds the homepage spotlight. It changes hands whenever the lead changes. Finish that first month at number one and keep the page for the entire following month too. This is extra exposure while leading, not a guaranteed two months.

The finished month’s winner gets the full-page spotlight for the following month. Their approved profile message and picture appear there. Runners-up are featured beneath them: second gets a larger feature than third, and fourth through twentieth have matching rows. Current standings keep updating separately.

If no successor earns a score, the reigning champion stays until the next winner. Cheating, duplicate accounts and abusive content can result in removal.

Your profile

Your X name, handle and photo are imported at sign-in. You can submit a message up to 280 characters and upload your own picture or return to your X picture. Changes are reviewed before public display. No threats, hate, harassment, sexual exploitation, impersonation, private information or unlawful content.
