Terms of Use

1. What you are buying

The Last Word is a public message-placement service. A successful payment publishes the message, attribution, optional recipient, and optional link you submit. It does not buy ownership of the Site, an endorsement, advertising results, clicks, reach, or a guaranteed amount of time in any position.

2. Ranking and payment

Customer submissions rank by verified amount paid, highest first. Clearly labeled house words are written by the Site owner, are not paid placements, and use nominal opening values only to set the starting board and checkout minimum. The highest eligible amount holds the homepage; the second-highest may be shown as runner-up; other eligible messages may appear in the archive. A new bid must meet the minimum shown at checkout, but you may bid higher.

Ranking can change while you are completing payment. Another verified payment may outrank yours before or after your checkout finishes, so payment never guarantees the #1 position or any particular duration. A completed bid remains ranked at its actual verified amount unless it is refunded, reversed, disputed, removed, or otherwise made ineligible under these Terms.

3. Your submission

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for everything you submit and for having the rights and permissions needed to publish it.

You keep ownership of your content. You give The Last Word a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, format, and promote the submission as part of the Site, its permanent share page, social-preview image, and promotion of The Last Word. This license lasts as long as the submission or related promotional material remains in use, subject to applicable law.

4. Content we will not host

Do not submit content that is illegal, fraudulent, infringing, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, malicious, privacy-invasive, misleadingly impersonates another person or organization, spreads malware, exposes private information, or directs people to an unsafe destination. Do not falsely imply that a person, brand, or The Last Word endorses your message.

We may reject, hide, edit only for formatting, or remove content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the Site, respond to legal process, or prevent abuse. Removal for a violation does not entitle you to a refund unless the law requires one.

5. Refunds, reversals, and disputes

Because publication can begin immediately, completed bids are generally final once the message is published. If a verified payment is accepted but your eligible submission is never published because of a failure caused by our platform, you may request review at support@thelastword.lol. Depending on the circumstances, the remedy may be publication, a replacement placement, or a full or partial refund. Mandatory consumer rights still apply.

Refunds, payment reversals, disputes, suspected fraud, or processor action may make a submission ineligible and remove it from the ranking. Payment processing is also subject to the payment provider’s terms.

6. Availability and liability

The Site is provided “as is” and may change, pause, or experience outages. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, a particular audience, or commercial results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Last Word is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability relating to a bid will not exceed the amount you paid for that bid, except where the law does not allow that limit.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date and version above identify the terms currently offered at checkout. For a content, privacy, payment, or legal request, email support@thelastword.lol and include enough information to identify the submission and transaction. Never include a complete card number.
